Budding Artists--free art classes for kids
Give a child a pencil and he'll begin drawing. Hand her a paintbrush and she'll paint a picture. And then she'll want you to put it on the refrigerator and show anyone who comes to visit. These budding artists always look for ways to be creative and thrive on creating. It's the way they were designed to be!
Budding Artists art classes strive to give children ages 4-18 and their parents a positive interaction with art and art history, and give them an opportunity to create their own art using a variety of media. Guest artists in the area come and share their passion for art and their particular medium. We learn about artists from long ago and from contemporary times. We encourage each student to produce a unique product in the end. And then we essentially "hang it on the fridge" when we have our Art Show at the end of the class sessions, bringing in local musicians or entertainers and serving outstanding refreshments, saturating our senses with all the beauty and color of the art made by our Budding Artists.
